About Me My name is Monique and I have been teaching at Juvenile Court schools for most of my teaching career. I enjoy working with students of all ages, ethic backgrounds, and personality. I am particularly concerned about the ethical treatment of minors incarcerated in lock down facilities.

I have always wanted to be a teacher. Never anything else. I love the classroom and I love my students. Recently, I was forced to abandon my class at Juvenile Hall and want to tell all my students how much they are in my thoughts. Remember your education is the key to your success. It will be your number one assesst in seeking gainful employment. Spread the Word Please tell your parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, other concerned adults about this website. I need all the help I can get. At Risk Youth All people have inherent value not based on anything they do or don't do. All children are precious and should be treated as such. We are all human and make mistakes--most of us are lucky enough not to have out mistakes become a matter of public record. All children can learn and there is always hope. I believe adults that interact with "at risk" youth should encourage and uplift this youth. Of all the students in the world the ones classified "at risk" need more love, more patience, more guidance, more dedication rather than less. These young people are too valuable to throw away. I believe that one person can make a change. I don't think anyone should not do something because there is a great mountian to climb. I believe we should just doan our climbing geer, say constant prayers, and begin putting one foot in front of the other. I believe we need to encourage and support each other from the human perspective. Time is short and the only thing of real value in this world is the love we bestow upon one another. |
